Candids are the best, and possibly my favorite. I’m so glad this family loved candids as well!
I had so much fun chasing this family around the park! Even if we did almost freeze to death….it was worth it!
I’m completely feeling the love in these. =) You guys are A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!
What a beautiful little baby girl….this pose took patience and three peoples help to get it accomplished…..no worries it’s a composite so the precious little baby was never actually this high off the ground. She always had her mom and dad right by her side. We took all safety precautions…because if you know me, safety is first all the time. But let me tell you, when we actually got this pose to work, me and the parents almost did a happy dance.
P.S. Thank you for all of your patience with my email replies. I have had a busy winter, then my yahoo email account wasn’t working properly, and then this week I went to the chiropractor and found out I had a rib out of place….ouch! OH ……AND MY DOG ATE MY HOMEWORK! JK! But thank you to all who were patient with my replies. I did have one inquiry via email that was lost, it was about a family session for 10 people in the studio, and I cannot find your email now…..(insert sad face here) If you are reading this please email or call me again. I wasn’t ignoring you….I think somehow your email got deleted by accident.
Love these little stinkies. I think they are about to out grow this swing though. How did that happen so fast?
The highlight of our trip…we found this ginormous moth on our door the very last night ….I am so glad it cooperated and let me take pictures! We have a hilarious video of this thing loose in our cabin….awh good times! I am sure it was harmless…but it was so huge it scared us! Here is a small clip of the VIDEO…after we caught it.
So I googled “large moth in Texas” and there it was! It’s a Polyphemus moth and it is said to be one of the largest moths with a wing span of 5 1/2 to 6 inches! Amazing! And these moths do not eat and actually don’t even have mouths….so I guess we shouldn’t have been so afraid…it wasn’t going to eat us alive afterall! The pattern on the hind wings resembles the head of the Great Horned Owl….this is it’s defense mechanism to protect itself from predators! So impressive!
These boys gave us a run for our money…..but even though the session started out a little rocky…we were patient and stubborn… two of my finest qualites. ha. These kiddos parents were equally patient….sooo we waited it out and ended up getting some happy smiley faces. I have to say, I love the dramatic crying ones just as much as the happy smiley ones though.
Also, a huge thank you to my very patient clients…. I had a computer that started to die on me..and then did….burial services are this weekend. =) No worries I have all my work backed up more than once…but setting up a new system is DIFFICULT when your dealing with photography…and filled with stress…and very time consuming. (ahem….do you feel sorry for me yet???) Anyways, thank you to all my clients who were so kind and patient with me during this time. You have no idea how much that means to me…if I could give you a big hug thru the internet….. well I would. Because several days I just wanted to cry like a baby! However when I cry….. I do not look as cute as this adorable bunch.
My how things change in just two years! Here’s all the cute little ones in my life…my nieces and nephews who I adore… If I only could remember all of the hilarious things they say! They keep us very entertained. Thanks to my mom for making the kids laugh in this first photo. Who knew that a Mimi shaking her booty could get such a good laugh… =)
Love.♥LOVE♥.Love this first image!
Let’s just be honest…the picture below ↓ is the epitome of what happens during a family session 99% of the time.
Soooo, moral of the story…. please bring your sense of humor with you to all family sessions…or we will not win. lol!
These parents, were so patient with their little one, I was so sooo impressed!
I’ve been photographing this little beauty since she was an itty bitty baby. It was so nice to see her again, she’s growing up and looking just like her mama!
After last summers heat, and brown brown brown everything….I have never appreciated green (ok…semi green) trees and grass so much in my entire life! So happy for the rain we had….oh rain how I’ve missed you! This little two year old was very active, but he gave us a few seconds of his time ! I love the closeups of him! Thanks so much for coming in Najera family! I enjoyed working with you guys!
